What's a pirate's favorite

masochistic hobby???

Applying to gaaaaaaarduate school!

Okay, that one doesn't really work, but applying to 13 schools makes you caaaaaaaaaaarazy!

Recipe #3

Black Bean Stew
-Saute carrots, green peppers, cabbage, garlic and onion
-Add water, can of crushed tomatos, black beans, corn and 2 cubes bullion
-Simmer, salt and pepper to taste

Garnish with cheddar cheese and serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
p.s. This dish looks very pretty because of all the nice colors.

3 Things I want for Christmas

From the kids:
1. Adulto materials
2. Eraser
3. Intelligence
(the above 3 items are actually from different students, in case you were unsure).

And the most popular item the kiddos are asking for this year??
An i-pot. So they can presumably engage in their most favorite hobby, "listen to music". Either that or they're asking for some kind of drug I'm not aware of...

Perhaps

people aren't seeing the link on the "Abre los Ojos" post. If you click on "pretty creepy" or here then it takes you to this super creepy article about this French woman's face-transplant. That was why I referenced the movie...or perhaps you are?

Making Soba: A Pictorial Guide

Gather the ingredients (soba flour, regular flour, water--yes that's it) and tools (wood block, rolling pin, hatchet).

Add water incrementally and knead the dough. Be sure not to use the palms of your hands as the dough will become too warm.

Get your grubby hands all over the perfectly kneaded and sculpted dough.

Roll out dough.

Cut rolled dough into hair-thin slices.

Admire the finished product.

Prepare to eat.

Enjoy! Dip warm soba in soy sauce with nori and sesame seeds.
